
Guidelines to be updated as new information becomes available.
Prior to your treatment I require a confirmation of the following before you complete your booking as well as prior to arrival of your treatment.
1) You have not traveled outside of the province in the previous 14 days or knowingly been in contact with someone who has.
2) You have not been exhibiting any cold or flu-like symptoms including but not limited to fever, sore throat, cough, runny nose, fatigue, loss of taste or smell. Call 811 if you are uncertain.
3) You have not been exposed to someone who is under investigation for COVID-19 or has been confirmed of having COVID-19 within the last 14 days.
If you are exhibiting any of the above symptoms, we ask that you please refrain from attending your appointment and reschedule for 2-3 weeks' time. Please refer to the following tool for additional support in navigating COVID-19 symptoms: https://public.ehealthsask.ca/sites/COVID-19

Be conscious of the number of places I am going to before and after work and on my days off.
Avoid non-essential trips within the community.
Not gather in groups.
Limit contact with those at high risk.
Go outside to exercise but stay close to home.
Practice social distancing (stay at least 2 meters apart) outside of home to the best of my ability.
DAILY SELF-MONITORING
Symptoms associated with a COVID-19 infection may range significantly and be similar to that of a cold or flu. Both those who are asymptomatic and those who are symptomatic may transmit the virus to others.
Symptoms have included cough, fever, difficulty breathing, and pneumonia in both lungs.
I will self-monitor by recording my temperature, symptoms, and number of contacts each day outside of the treatment room.
Other symptoms may include muscle aches, fatigue, sore throat, headache, loss of appetite, chills, runny nose, nausea and vomiting, diarrhea, loss of sense of smell or taste.
I will:
Take my temperature every day before work.
Be aware of the number of places visited or stopped at outside of work.
Disclose the number of contacts (places visited) to their patients with full transparency.
PRACTITIONER NOT FEELING WELL
I will not go to work if I am feeling unwell – even if my symptoms are mild and they are uncertain of whether it is COVID-19 or not. I am committed to protecting my colleagues and their patients.
I commit to:
If I feel mildly ill, staying home, not go to work, not go to public places, not use public transit, taxis, or ride shares. Not have visitors to my home.
Calling my family physician, a walk-in clinic, local public health unit, complete the COVID-19 self-assessment by visiting https://bc.thrive.health/ or calling 811 and following their instructions.
If I test negative but still aren’t well they I will stay home until I am well and able to protect my patients.
If I test positive for COVID-19 I will contact patients to inform them to monitor for symptoms. For instructions on how to isolate follow the instructions of public health officials. For more information see http://www.bccdc.ca/Health-Info-Site/Documents/Self-isolation.pdf
If I become ill with COVID-19 I will stay away from work for at least 10 days beyond the onset of symptoms, AND until the fever is gone without medication, AND I am feeling better AND they have been cleared by a public health official.
ILLNESS AMONG CLOSE CONTACTS
If a close contact, a spouse, becomes ill I will stay home and self-isolate with my family. I will follow the instructions from the BC Centre for Disease Control: http://www.bccdc.ca/Health-Info-Site/Documents/Self-isolation_caregivers.pdf
I will only return to work when:
My close contact has been tested and the results for COVID-19 come back negative and they are well.
OR after self-isolating for 14 days and having no symptoms or fever develop.
OR being cleared by a public health official.
If a patient alleges they were exposed to coronavirus at an appointment OR in the same time frame they were at an appointment with the practitioner, and the practitioner has had an appointment with that patient within the past 14 days, the practitioner will immediately self-isolate and cancel all appointments. Regardless of when the last appointment was, the practitioner will call public health at 8-1-1 and report the alleged transmission, providing both the practitioner’s name and the name and contact information of the patient.
I will only return to work when:
The case has been investigated and proven false, AND the have not had any symptoms.
OR after self-isolating for 14 days and having no symptoms or fever develop.
OR being cleared by a public health official.
If the patient has tested positive for COVID-19, OR the case is investigated and proven true, the practitioner will Immediately call and notify all patients seen since the last appointment, OR the past 14 days, whichever is longer.

24-36 hours prior to your scheduled treatment you will receive a mandatory pre-screen questionnaire electronically. This MUST be filled out prior to each and every visit. The questionnaire will include questions regarding your current health status.
The day of your scheduled appointment you will again be sent a screening questionnaire electronically in reference to the Government of Saskatchewan Covid-19 Self-Assessment . If you are feeling unwell and/or exhibiting any symptoms that could possibly be related to Covid 19 you agree to cancel your appointment alerting myself as soon as possible. (the cancellation fee will be waived).Osteopathy will not be provided to anyone who presents ill at their appointment.
Agree to be punctual for your appointment and not enter the clinic upon arrival but text Laura at 306-914-3205 alerting me of your arrival. Agree to await a return message welcoming you to enter.
Arrive dressed appropriately for your appointment. Please wear soft, thin, loose clothing (gym shorts, loose yoga pant, t-shirt). Please no jeans/dresses/skirts/pantyhose/ sports bras.
Agree to arrive in and wear a personal protective mask for the duration of your osteopathic appointment. (Note: this is not required for pediatric appointments, but caregivers/guardians accompanying the child are required to wear a mask).
Agree to attend appointments unaccompanied (unless the client is a minor under the age of 18, then one guardian is requested to attend).
Agree to bring minimal belongings into the clinic. Please do not bring car seats into the clinic at this time.
Provide payment electronically via credit card or e-transfer.
Agree to wash your hands immediately upon entering the clinic.
Agree to refrain from touching things while in the clinic (including personal items ie: cell phone).
Agree to receive your appointment receipt via email only
Agree to make a punctual departure. Due to increased demands for disinfecting and ventilating the space between appointments, it is requested that you depart the clinic as quickly as possible.
